How to treat distress and anxiety? A series of faith reflections

. Our most beautiful followers everywhere,

And we do not forget to pray for our brothers in Gaza. Oh God, grant them victory, spare their blood, and release them. Oh God, Amen

Today we will talk about a topic that we all go through at one time or another

It is distress and anxiety

We all go through a state of distress, tension, and anxiety, and we cannot get out of that stage

We are looking for anything to get out of that stage. We read, go to exercise, go out, hang out with friends, and try in every way to get out of that stage

But as Muslims, we have the best ways to get out of anything and any distress that passes through us. But we always forget it, which is to turn to  our great Creator, Glory be to Him

Everything belongs to God, and He is your Creator, and in His hand is His spirit, your sustenance, and everything, whether in you or in the universe as a whole

When you turn to Him, whether in prayer, supplication, or monologue, whoever hears you is the Creator God, Glory be to Him. You will then feel relieved and that what is causing you distress, Glory be to Him, with His mercy and grace, is the only one capable of changing it and making it turn into a cause of happiness and victory for you instead of being a cause of distress and sadness

We must have a permanent relationship with God Almighty. The only path we turn to when we are tired, upset, or feel any test must be the path of God. No one but Him can get us out of where we are

We must be certain that people, no matter how powerful or powerful they are, will one day come and be annihilated or change over you, and no matter what they do, they cannot own everything, or no matter how powerful they are, they will fulfill your request every time, and they do not have control over the circumstances, no matter what they do. But there is a difference between the Creator and the created. The Creator is the Creator of circumstances, humans, souls, and everything in the universe

Do not imagine that you are asking or talking to God Almighty, while He, Glory be to Him, is a monster who will not save you from all of this

God is worshiped without being tempted. Years ago, I was like Manar, that girl who, when upset, resorted to all these things until I calmed down and returned to normal. But now, praise be to God, when I get upset or worried about anything, I immediately turn to God. To the point that I no longer complain a lot or chat with people, but rather I have a soliloquy (and here a soliloquy is talking to God Almighty) with my Lord, Glory be to Him, because He, Glory be to Him, is with me at all times and times, and no one gets tired of me. Rather, when I solemnize with Him, I return from that soliloquy as if my heart had been cleansed of everything. . When I am worried or afraid of something, I repeat in my heart some of the dhikr or verses that I have memorized. At that time, I felt that my heart was at ease and my soul was at peace. How could you not when you turn to the Creator of this soul and this anxiety and the Owner of your body and everything

Praise be to God for the blessing of Islam, and that is enough of a blessing. O Muslim, O Muslim woman, do not forget your Lord and run on many failed paths and attempts until you calm down and feel reassured, but there is only one path for you, and that is the path of your Lord, Glory be to Him
